Relay app users win Pimp My Cab competition

Former Highway Angels Ed and Tracy Zimmerman (left), awarded Truckload Carrier Association’s annual award in 2019 for saving a man’s life, pulling him from a burning vehicle, were one of three winners of Relay’s Pimp My Cab Giveaway at Mid America Trucking Show (MATS) last month.

The married couple who are team drivers for Hirschbach and users of the Relay mobile app were shocked and thrilled to win a care package for their cab including a new fridge. “It was so much of a surprise. Relay Payments is amazing and it simplifies so much and is just so easy to use,” said Tracy on The Dave Nemo Show following MATS.

The two other delighted winners of the Pimp My Cab package were Jason Pare of Blackbeard Trucking and Mayra Ruiz with BCF Transport. Winners came home with quite a haul: each of the three prize packages, valued at $450, included a hot/cold mini-fridge, lumbar pillow, Bluetooth driver headset, massage roller, exercise bands, and LED utility light, as well as an assortment of Relay-branded swag: a power bank, koozie, notebook, hat, bag, tumbler, and a truck sticker.

Earlier, at TCA Truckload 2022 in Las Vegas, in celebration of March Madness, Chris Parsons (right) from Geotab won the Relay Payments and Maven Machines basketball bracket challenge, bringing home a cool $1,500.

Chad Norris participated in Relay’s virtual reality hoops challenge at our TCA booth and won his own Oculus 2 VR headset worth $300.
