Relay Payments recognized as a Top Tech Startup and Top Software & Technology Provider for logistics industry

Rapidly growing fintech wins two new awards from industry publications Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive

ATLANTA, Relay Payments, the fintech company modernizing payments for the supply chain, logistics, and trucking industries, is adding two new awards to its growing list of honors. Food Logistics, a publication covering the movement of product through the global cold food supply chain, and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a publication covering issues affecting the global supply chain, selected Relay as one of the year’s Top Tech Startups and Top Software & Technology Providers. The awards spotlight the most innovative technology contributions designed for the supply chain and logistics industry.

“We are beyond grateful to add these honors to our list of awards,” said Relay co-founder and CEO Ryan Droege. “They are proof of our team’s commitment to developing products benefiting the logistics industry.”

Founded in 2019, Relay launched with a mission to digitally transform logistics. The company’s co-founders witnessed how much time was wasted while drivers waited at warehouses for manual cash and fleet check authorizations. They worked alongside the industry to develop an entirely digital, secure, and contactless payment solution. Carriers and drivers quickly adopted Relay allowing them to spend less time waiting and more time earning. Carriers and drivers aren’t the only benefiting parties though—with reduced time at the dock for each truckload, warehouses process more deliveries daily, enabling them to get goods onto store shelves more efficiently.

Today, more than 300,000 carriers and drivers use Relay including eight of the top 10 LTL carriers, 10 of the top 30 FTL carriers, the largest traditional and digital freight brokers in the United States, and 85,000+ midsize fleets and owner operators. Additionally, companies throughout the supply chain—from carriers to brokers to warehouses—rely on the platform to conduct business for over-the-road expenses.

This recognition from Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive adds to Relay’s long list of honors. This year alone, Relay was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces, and was added to the FreightTech 100 list. The company was also recognized as a Women in Trucking Association Technology Award finalist.
