Relay Payments recognized as fintech innovator with TAG ADVANCE Award

Atlanta, GA — June 21, 2022 — Relay Payments, the digital payment network provider transforming the freight and logistics industry, has been recognized by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) with its 2022 TAG ADVANCE award. This announcement coincides with the annual Fintech South conference in Atlanta.

TAG presents the award annually to recognize U.S. fintech companies with ties to Georgia that are “helping the financial industry move forward through innovation.”

Relay Payments designed its digital payment network specifically for the freight and logistics industry, where technology development has historically lagged other sectors. Relay is committed to transform the payment process among shippers, brokers, carriers and truck owner-operators. Its digital codes are now accepted in 80 percent of warehouses nationwide. The company’s innovative new products include RelayGo, an all-in-one fleet expense card and mobile app used by more than 250,000 drivers to pay warehouse unloaders, as well as over-the-road expenses like truck washes, repairs, parking, and food and lodging.

“A commitment to continuous innovation is at the heart of who we are at Relay. We are gratified to receive this recognition for moving the industry forward through innovation,” said CEO and co-founder of Relay Payments Ryan Droege. “We were an award finalist in 2021 as well, and so receiving the honor this year is testament to the work we continue to do to transform our industry.”

"This year we had record entries for the ADVANCE award, and we're excited to honor Relay Payments for its impressive fintech innovation." said TAG Co-Chair Maria Luisa Pineda. "Today, there are 210 fintech companies in Georgia, which have created 44,000 jobs. We're proud to be a part of this thriving fintech market and we look forward to much success from Relay Payments in the future."
